The dev/tty prize is a competition that invites developers of all
backgrounds and skill levels to showcase their talent by creating cool
CLI/TUI applications. The challenge is simple: Design and build an
outstanding application that harnesses the power of the terminal to
deliver an exceptional user experience. From utilities to productivity
tools, make whatever you want.

Showcase Your Skills: Demonstrate your coding prowess by
crafting an impressive CLI/TUI application that highlights your
abilities and creativity.

Win Prizes: There will be 3 winners, two of
them will receive 2000 ETB
and one will receive 1000 ETB.

Grow in the Community: Connect with like-minded developers,
share knowledge, and engage in valuable discussions around CLI/TUI
development.

Originality Requirement: All submissions must be original
work created by the participant. Plagiarism is strictly prohibited and
may lead to disqualification. Don't take some project you found
somewhere on the internet and present it as your own.

No Teams: All entries must be the original work of a single
participant. This rule is implemented to provide a level playing field
for all contestants and to encourage individual creativity, innovation,
and problem-solving skills.

Code Submission: All participants must submit their CLI/TUI
application code exclusively through GitHub. However, we understand that
certain circumstances may arise where participants face challenges in
uploading their code to GitHub. In such exceptional cases, we may
consider making exceptions on a case-by-case basis.

No Restrictions: Anyone with an interest in developing
CLI/TUI apps can apply.
The submissions for the dev/tty prize will be evaluated based on the
following criteria by the sole judge, frectonz.

Features: The breadth and depth of features implemented in
the CLI/TUI application will be examined. A diverse range of
functionalities and innovative capabilities will be favorably
acknowledged.

Code Quality: The overall quality of the CLI/TUI
application's codebase will be assessed, looking for well-structured,
readable, and maintainable code. Attention to best practices, efficient
algorithms, and elegant solutions will be considered.

Difficulty of the Task: The complexity and challenge of the
task undertaken by the participant will be evaluated. Projects that
tackle ambitious and demanding tasks will be recognized.

Aesthetics of the Output: The visual and interactive appeal
of the program's output will be taken into account. Attention to design,
clarity, and user-friendly interfaces will be appreciated.
